CommentsJust wanted to say hi from Nebraska! I remember (as well as I can remember anything from that time of my life) seeing John and Sandcastle around Omaha in the early 80's. I'm not really sure where (so many bars - so little time) The Chicago? Arthur's? The Saddle Creek? Somewhere in the Old Market? I wish I could remember. CommentsSaw A&J last night in Omaha. First time. Great music and "homecoming." The CD is GREAT!!! If you haven't purchased it yet, do so and you won't be disappointed. In fact you'll be extremely delighted. John's guitar work is wonderful. Catchy melodies, poignant lyrics, and especially beautiful harmonies. Playing the CD for a friend this morning he said, "Sounds like Stevie Nicks." I said, "Maybe, but this is better & little bluesier." After the concert I was amazed to find "A" selling her own CDs. Thanks for the autograph! Somehow, go see this duo!
CommentsAnastasia & John's CD "Thats you and Me" is in a word GREAT!!! the lyrics are very thought provoking and I could listen to Anastasia sing on & on & on........... what a beautiful sound she makes. Johns harmonies only add to songs that are told in way that only few can write. Listen to them once, and you will enjoy. Listen to them twice, and you will be hooked!!!!!!!

CommentsI had the very great pleasure of hosting an Anastasia and John house concert in my home here in Lake Tahoe last Sunday. We had such a wonderful time! A & J are the most gracious of guests, not to mention such an incredible talent. I was so pleased to be able to share them with so many of my friends, and the response afterwards was so overwhelmingly positive. The highlight of the show....for me anyway.....was when Anastasia asked my 5 year old daughter, Torrey, to help her sing a song. There were more than a few misty eyes in the house, mine included! I feel so fortunate to have had this opportunity, and to the two new, very special friends I have made. Thanks again, A & J!! You are welcome back in Tahoe anytime!!

CommentsHosting a house concert has turned out to be one of the nicest things that has happened in our home of seven years. A terrific time was had by everyone in attendance, people are still calling with comments five days later. As Becky said, we are looking forward to a return trip, the doors are always open and the people will be lining up for those front row seats. Your music is fabulous and it is made that much greater by the fact that the faces behind the sounds are terrific human beings. If we don't see you here, we will see you at Disneyland or on tour this summer.

We have advance discount tickets available for only $8.00 versus $10.00 (in addition to the $2.00 face value savings, you also save because there are no handling fees or any of those other extra fees charged). Anastasia & John opened for Venice at the Coach House in August and it was an incredible show. Surprise guest David Croby joined Anastasia & John on stage for a stirring version of "Angel From Montgomery" and later performed "Guinnevere" on stage with Venice. CommentsAnastasia & John turned in an outstanding performance last night at Cafe Voltaire in Ventura! In addition to selections from their CD, some relatively new songs, and a couple of cover tunes, they premiered a brand new song for the first time called "Leap of Faith" to a very receptive crowd. They also performed a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide". Fans have been asking for Anastasia & John to perform a Fleetwood Mac song for a long time and they did a very commendable job of it with "Landslide". Joining Anastasia & John on several songs was Stuart Orlinsky, an outstanding guitarist known for his fine work with the recently (unfortunately) disbanded Ventura County band Southern Cross. Speaking of guest musicians...Jorge Calderon is scheduled to join Anastasia & John on bass at their upcoming performance at Sonoma Blue coffee house in Studio City on Thursday, October 22nd. Jorge is known for his work with Warren Zevon, Jackson Browne, David Lindley and others. He can be heard playing bass on most of the songs on Anastasia & John's CD "That's You and Me". You won't want to miss this show! Sonoma Blue is located at 10962 Ventura Boulevard (east of Vineland) in Studio City. Anastasia & John will be performing from 9:00 to 10:00 sharp. Note: This is an outdoor venue, dress accordingly. And this number doesn't include the millions of people like myself who didn't actually "view" the show, but rather just listened to the great music! To clarify: I was a listener versus a viewer last week because I was fixing my refrigerator at the time. I will be sure to watch it this week. CommentsI had the distinct pleasure of seeing your show last night at the T.L.A. in Philadelphia. I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed listening to you. I was breath-taken by your soaring harmonies and complex guitar riffs. Your music and lyrics are direct, pierce ones' heart and leaves the listener longing for more. How I wish you played on for another 30 minutes. As I mentioned to you Anastasia as you walked off the stage, you have a voice like an angel. You maintain a commanding control over your vocal range and take the listener for a ride on a rollacoster throughout the songs you sing. But always bring the listener carefully back to earth. Believe what people are saying about your talents and the quality of your music. It is awesome. I nejoyed speaking with you after the show and thank you for signing your CD. CommentsI saw you guys last night at Mars in Bloomington, IN with CPR. Despite the heat, you two put on a wonderful show. You managed to mesmerize an audience of people who had never heard of your music (as you said, your production company is on your kitchen table). Even before you did Angel From Montgomery (with The Peev) you had the crowd cheering. Afterward, my wife Shannon sat and talked with Anastasia at the back of the club and got an autographed copy of the CD. There is a strong contingency of folk music in Bloomington, and you just secured your niche.

CommentsHey there! Well, I was lucky enough to attend the CPR show in west palm. Since I was seated 3rd row left, when Anastasia came down from the stage, I was able to approach her and have a great conversation. I'm 17, so I lowered the age range in that buliding just a little. I went to the concert with my father, who was thouroughly impressed by my cool and calm way of approaching Anastasia, and how cool I remained when she introduced me to James Raymond. Although, I'm not impressed by fame (I plan to be well-known someday, and meeting Anastasia was the living end! I have to compare you guys to the Indigo Girls. I left that show so excited to get in my car and listen to my *autographed* copy of your CD. I've fallen in love with your songs! #2 is my favorite, I knew every word by the time I got home that evening. I wish you luck with everything (just as Anastasia wished me when she signed my CD.) If you guys are ever in South Florida again, give me a buzz! Oh, and when I establish myself, I'd love to sing with you guys ;o). Love, Raychel PS I got an A on my physics exam. I would just like to say that I really enjoy listening to your CD and I am looking forward to maybe hearing another one in the future. I am sorry to say that I am not going to be able to be at the CPR show in Portland, OR because it is a 21 and over show and I am only 19, but the next time you guys come around I really hope that I can see you. CommentsI can't decide which song is my favorite! This is truly the first CD/album that I haven't had a "favorite" on. I don't skip around looking for my favorite tune, I listen to them all and then play it again. Is it possible to wear out a CD? I hope you make it back to Portland, Oregon soon!
